Tommy Thai Food has recently launched a pop-up shipping container restaurant in Sweden, with a focus on takeout services. The restaurant, designed and built by our team, utilizes a 20GP shipping container with the Tommy Thai Food brand prominently featured. The container has a spacious kitchen area, instead of a traditional dining space. Its mobility allows for quick setup in outdoor locations, offering flexibility for potential relocations.

The restaurant is in a 20GP shipping container, where our team executed tasks such as welding the frame, cutting doors and windows, wiring, and installing kitchen equipment. The primary material of the container is durable and high-hardness corrugated steel. All walls are insulated with a 25mm thick layer. The windows are designed to open upward, providing additional shade. For energy, the container restaurant relies on external power sources such as a generator and liquefied propane. Connection points for these utilities can be found on one side of the container.

 

 

 

Internally, a commercial kitchen is the standard configuration. Two workstations are positioned on either side of the kitchen, each hosting various cooking appliances. This design optimally utilizes the internal space of the container and maximizes the workspace. It is estimated that the container can accommodate up to 5 employees working comfortably.
